Well, it's been three months since you've had a Griffin sleep update and a lot has changed.
Back in the day, we couldn't even get him to sleep in his bassinet. He only wanted to sleep in his carseat or his swing.
Not anymore! He sleeps in his bassinet no problem. Of course, the nights of good sleep and uninterrupted sleeping through the night come at the expense of bad habits. He's addicted to being swaddled. That kid will wake up every two hours unless I swaddle him like a little burrito.
Second bad habit...I feed him to sleep. I know, I know. It was just so easy to do back in the day and it's just become our routine. But now, it's come at the expense of naptime during the day.
We're trying to cure those bad habits little by little. Any advice how we can do it?
And tonight - a milestone - the first time he is sleeping in his room, in his crib. It's bittersweet. I'm excited for him to use his crib and to get my bedroom back. I'm sad because it means he's already growing up.

We're still working on kicking bad habits! Unfortunately, there's no easy way, sometimes you gotta just let them cry it out. But Griff's way too little, he still has time to be spoiled a little!
Wyatt still falls asleep with us... and as for bad habits, we all have them. John has lots ;-)
Last summer, we just sucked it up and created a new routine. She would fall asleep in my bed and then Rob would put her to sleep in the crib. We were actually lucky that she was a marathon sleeper as an infant. She actually would sleep as a defense mechanism (like if there was a crowd or things were crazy). Last summer, we just dealt with the crying and temper and created a new routine which she adapted to after about a week. It's been a dream since. Occasionally, she'll fall asleep and then wake up, but that's rare. We do still sit in there with her for about 10 minutes while she falls asleep, but it gives me time to listen to my iPod and unwind.
Good luck!
